The views from the fifth floor stretch out over the Caribbean, the breeze is incredible, and when the sun starts to set, it feels like you’re floating above the ocean!

You can host your cocktail hour and reception here with plenty of space for up to 200 guests, a large dance floor, a built-in bar, and a sweeping backdrop of the beach below. What I love about Los Gallos is that it’s completely private but still feels connected to the resort. You can see the ocean, the main pool, and the resort’s infinity pool from above, which makes the whole setting feel dramatic and lively without losing that sense of exclusivity. It’s ideal for couples who want a fun, upbeat atmosphere with a stunning view.
Just keep in mind that Cabo evenings, especially in the winter months, can get a little cool. I always tell couples to plan for the breeze and maybe bring a light jacket for the after-party. If you’re dreaming of that “wow” moment the second your guests walk into your ceremony, this is it. The rooftop terrace at Hyatt Ziva Cancun gives you that full Caribbean panorama, ocean on every side, a warm breeze, and the kind of turquoise water that doesn’t even look real. You can spot Isla Mujeres in the distance and the lighthouse at the tip of Punta Cancun, which makes an incredible backdrop for photos.
It’s easy to see why this is one of the resort’s most requested wedding venues. It’s private, open-air, and has plenty of space for up to 200 guests without feeling packed in. If you book the Zama wedding package, the rooftop is already included, which is a huge win. For other packages, there’s a privatization fee, but trust me, it’s worth every penny for the privacy and those views. The Lounge can seat up to 120 guests for dinner or host up to 200 for a cocktail-style reception.

This terrace is large enough to host well over 100 guests and actually works best for bigger parties. If you have fewer than 80 guests, there’s a setup fee since the team brings everything up for your event. Still, it’s 100 percent worth it for the privacy and the vibe. It’s technically a family-friendly resort, but this rooftop feels just as elevated and romantic as any adults-only property I’ve seen. You get panoramic ocean views, space for up to 150 guests, and plenty of flexibility to make the layout work for you.
I love this venue because it gives you options. You can host your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place without feeling crowded. The terrace has built-in bathrooms, plenty of room for a dance floor and DJ setup, and it looks especially magical once the string lights come on at night. It’s the kind of space that instantly feels like a celebration.
It’s also ideal for groups that need a mix of room types. The resort is family-friendly, but if you want a quieter experience for adults, you can reserve rooms in the adults-only section near the rooftop. It makes it easy for everyone to stay close while still having their own space to relax.

8. Satsuma Rooftop - W Punta cana
W Punta Cana is one of the newest additions to the all-inclusive scene, and it feels every bit as stylish as you would expect from the W brand. It is adults-only, design-forward, and brings that mix of modern energy and laid-back Caribbean charm that couples love.
The Satsuma Terrace sits above one of the resort’s signature restaurants and has an incredible view of both the mountains and the ocean. It is not your typical rooftop. There is a water feature, glowing up-lighting at night, and the kind of atmosphere that feels more like an exclusive lounge than a wedding venue. It is perfect for a welcome party, cocktail event, or even a post-wedding celebration.
You can privatize the entire space for an additional fee, which gives you full control over the setup, music, and mood. There is already a built-in DJ booth, plenty of seating, and lots of room for mingling. It is a great spot if you want something nontraditional and full of personality.
Since this resort is brand new, it is still under the radar, but I do not think it will stay that way for long. It is a fresh, elevated option for couples who want something different from the typical beachfront setup.
