How did you meet?
We on Hinge and instantly hit it off. From the moment we sat down, the conversation came naturally. We talked about our families, careers, goals, and everything in between, and by the end of the night, we both knew there was something special about the connection we had found.
What started as a simple first date quickly turned into countless adventures, unforgettable trips, and a relationship built on laughter, trust, and always supporting one another. Nearly five years later, we’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our story.
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
Choosing a destination wedding was an easy decision for us because we wanted our wedding to be more than just one day. We wanted it to be an unforgettable experience. We loved the idea of bringing our closest family and friends together in a beautiful place where everyone could relax, celebrate, and create lasting memories throughout the weekend.
Travel has always been a big part of our relationship, so getting married in Mexico (our first trip) felt like the perfect reflection of who we are as a couple. Instead of just a few hours together, we get to spend several days with the people we love most, making memories that we’ll cherish long after the wedding is over.
Why did you choose Hotel Xcaret Arte as your resort?
We chose Hotel Xcaret Arte because it perfectly reflected the wedding experience we wanted to create for our family and friends. From the moment we visited, we fell in love with the stunning architecture, beautiful scenery, and incredible food. We also loved that the resort offers so much more than a traditional wedding venue—guests can spend their days relaxing by the pool, enjoying the beach, exploring the parks, or participating in one of the many activities the resort has to offer.
One of our favorite features was the hidden speakeasy, which made the perfect setting for an unforgettable after-party. We were fortunate enough to visit the resort twice before our wedding, which only confirmed that it was the perfect place to celebrate our special day. We knew it would provide not only a beautiful backdrop for our wedding but also an amazing vacation experience for everyone joining us.
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony?
One of the most memorable moments of our wedding weekend happened right after the ceremony. Before joining our guests, my husband and I took a few quiet moments to walk into our reception together. Seeing the venue completely transformed and finally getting to experience all of the planning and hard work come to life was such a surreal feeling.
With the ceremony behind us and our vows exchanged, all of the nerves disappeared. For a few minutes, it was just the two of us taking it all in, reflecting on everything that had led us to that moment before celebrating the rest of the evening with our family and friends. It’s a memory we’ll cherish forever.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
The best part about having a destination wedding was that it felt like so much more than a single day—it became an entire experience. Instead of only seeing our family and friends for a few hours, we spent several days together relaxing, celebrating, and making memories that we’ll cherish forever.
It also gave everyone the chance to enjoy a vacation while celebrating with us. Whether guests were lounging by the pool, exploring the resort, or joining us for different events throughout the weekend, there was something for everyone. By the time the wedding day arrived, it truly felt like one big family vacation, making the celebration even more meaningful.
