Cailley & Brandon recently celebrated their breathtaking destination wedding at Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana, joined by their closest family and friends. It was an honor to be part of their wedding journey, and they were an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire planning process.

How did you meet?
We met in Tampa at an Irish pub that Brandon used to frequent. Cailley was a bartender working her way through college, while Brandon was the pastry chef at the Italian restaurant across the street. Smitten with Cailley, Brandon would often bring her sweet treats during her shifts, hoping to win her over. Eventually, she agreed to go on a date with him, and the rest is history!
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We chose to have a destination wedding because we both love to travel and wanted to combine two things that are important to us: exploring new places and bringing the people we love together. We loved the idea of having our friends and family share a vacation together, rather than gathering for just one day. It gave everyone the opportunity to spend more time together, get to know each other, and create memories beyond the wedding itself. We wanted our wedding to feel like a shared experience that everyone could enjoy and remember for years to come.
Why did you choose to have your wedding at Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana?
We chose Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana with the help of Shoreline Destinations. When Andrea first described the resort, the venue, and the incredible staff, we immediately felt like it could be the right fit for us. It also felt a little serendipitous because, years earlier, while we were on vacation, Brandon accidentally ordered a cab to Cap Cana and got a sneak peek at just how beautiful the area was. When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted somewhere that felt beautiful, relaxing, and special for our guests, and Cap Cana checked every box.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
The best part was creating shared memories with our friends and family. We got to spend several days together, not just one evening, and it gave everyone the chance to really connect and enjoy the experience together. Even now, that trip is still the talk of almost every get-together, which is exactly what we hoped for when we decided to have a destination wedding.
