How did you meet?
Travin and I both attended LSU. We have a joke that he often stalked me around campus until I finally agreed to give him my number, all to ignore him. Until one night, I needed a ride home from the club, and it just so happened that he was there.
The rest was kind of written; we spent just about every day together since then. We’ve been together for 11 years, and we actually got married on our 11-year anniversary.

Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We chose to have a destination wedding because we both have really big families, but also love to travel. We knew that we would be able to have the wedding of our dreams for a fraction of the cost and be surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to be there and made an effort to be part of our union.
We also loved the idea of spending not just one day, but an entire weekend, with our wedding guests, really celebrating each other.
Our love for travel was also a big part of choosing to have a destination wedding. We both travel together often and always want our family to join us, so we couldn’t think of a better reason than our wedding.
Why did you choose Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres for your destination wedding?
We chose Hard Rock Los Cabos because of the aesthetic of having a newer, more modern resort space, while still not lacking good service and beautiful views. We specifically chose Hard Rock in Cabo because we both love Mexico, and frequent Cancun often, so we wanted something that could give us the same vibe, but also a place we hadn’t been before.
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony?
The most memorable moment of our ceremony was when we both made eye contact as my brother walked me down the aisle. We both could see each other, tearing up, and just did a slight smile, knowing that we had finally made it and all the planning was worth it. There is something so rewarding about being able to see over 125 people in an event that you all created solely based on your love for each other.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
The best part of having a destination wedding was having so much time with the people we love. It’s very rare that both of our families get to get together, especially in a place like Los Cabos. Being able to spend so many days with them, with our love at the forefront of it all, was truly something special. Our boat after party the day after our wedding, was really a memorable experience in that great way to finish off our wedding weekend.

Our experience with Shoreline Destinations was amazing! I constantly received compliments on how easy they were to work with and how accommodating they were. I was in direct communication with a few of my vendors and guests as well, and couldn’t imagine doing this without them!
