Julia and Tom just celebrated their beautiful destination wedding at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was such a joy to be a part of their special journey and they were an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way!

How did you meet?
Ahh the classic work love story! We were both attending a corporate training and sat across from each other at dinner on the first night, by chance. We talked the entire night like we were the only two people in the restaurant (even though we were surrounded by 30 other people). We instantly had a connection and gravitated towards one another the rest of the week. From there, we kept in touch and the rest is history!
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We want to HAVE fun! Neither of us could see ourselves doing something super traditional so we thought a destination would be fun for us and our guests to have one big celebration in a beautiful place. We both want to be relaxed as possible and simply enjoy ourselves as we take this next step! How can we be stressed at the beach?!
Why did you choose your resort and destination?
Andrea highly recommend the Hyatt Zilara. Once we heard the name of the resort, we started finding out a few of our close friends had been and even Tom's mom! They all raved about it and it just felt right for us. The multiple restaurant options, beautiful spa and beaches seemed like a perfect place to celebrate with friends and family.
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony?
Both Tom & I said hearing each other's vows! We wrote them ourselves and it was so special to be able to read and hear them in front of our loved ones.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
By far, to be with all of our guests in paradise for an extended period of time! Most of our guests came days before and stayed after so we got ample time with everyone. It kept the celebration going and we made countless memories!
What was your experience using Shoreline Destinations?
Our experience with Shoreline was 10/10! We credit them for creating a stress-free wedding planning experience. Not only did they consult us with destinations for our wedding venue but coordinated our entire room block, helped our guests with questions (so we didn't have to 🙂), built our detailed website, and went the extra mile sending birthday notes, hand written cards to us and our guests and even sending treats to our room during our stay. Tom & I truly are so grateful for Andrea, Meredith and Ellen for providing top tier service during a typically stressful time for a bride & groom. Can't wait to use them again for a trip!
